Collocations are "words that ofte go together" For a fluent and natural English it is very important to learn and practice them.
"fast food" or "strongly influence" or "deeply ashamed" are examples. Knowing at least the usual ones is important.
An excellent bok that we recommend is: English Collocations in Use, b. M. McCarthy and F. O'Dell, Cambridge University Press.
